On Thursday February 27, 7:00 pm in Nozhem Theatre, Enwayaang Building, Trent University, Gzowski College is pleased to present “Refugee Journalists in Canada.”
Filmmaker and Gzowski Visiting Fellow Dr. James Cullingham will share a short demo of his documentary in-development, titled “The Cost of Freedom: Refugee Journalists in Canada.”
This will be followed by a panel discussion with film subjects Abdulrahman Matar (originally from Syria); Arzu Yildis (Turkey); and Luis Najera (Mexico).
Trent Alumnus Liana Honsinger, a board member for the Kawartha World Issues Centre and a case management worker at the New Canadians Centre, will be hosting our panel discussion.
